A great source of information for Hawaiian wildlife is the following website of the State of Hawaii, Division of Forestry and Wildlife, Wildlife Programs, where dozens of fact sheets are listed for Species of Greatest Conservation Needs‘.

The Bishop Museum has published a checklist of all the birds observed on the Hawaiian Islands, with .pdf documents for each species detailing their locations over the years. (a website on sounds of some birds of Hawaii)

Status of Tanzania birds

Tanzania does not appear to currently have a 'national' bird, but the Grey-crowned crane is sometimes mentioned unofficially (although this species is already the National Bird of Uganda).
